Progress in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran opens the way for Pakistani ships

Islamabad: A major development has come to light amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East where Iran has allowed 20 Pakistani-flagged ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Iran has given this permission as a positive and constructive step, under which two Pakistani ships will be able to cross the Strait of Hormuz daily.

The development comes at a time when the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most important trade route, has been severely affected by the ongoing dispute between Iran and the United States. A large amount of global oil passes through this route, and its closure has increased pressure on the global economy.

According to reports, Iran had previously stopped several ships due to security concerns, but now the situation is improving as a result of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

Sources say that some Pakistani ships have already crossed the Strait of Hormuz and were provided with full security by Iranian security forces.

Experts are calling this decision an important step towards reducing tensions in the region, while this move could also help stabilize global energy supplies.
According to government officials, Pakistan is not only active in protecting its trade interests but is also playing a diplomatic role in reducing tensions between Iran and the United States.
