Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has sent a strong message to the US forces, saying that Iran will respond forcefully to any attack or threat against its security and that no aggression will be left unanswered.
In a statement released on the social media platform X, Abbas Araqchi said that despite the US failures on the battlefield, it decided to test Iran’s resolve, but the Iranian nation and its armed forces are capable of confronting any challenge.
He criticised the US military presence and said that if the US forces want to remain safe, they should leave the region. He said that the history of the Persian Gulf is full of many such incidents in which foreign interveners faced serious consequences.
The Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated his determination that Iran will take all possible measures to protect its sovereignty, national security and regional interests. He said that any threat or military action against Iran will be responded to promptly and effectively.
According to analysts, Araqchi’s statement comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East remain high and relations between Iran and the United States are once again the centre of global attention.
Regional affairs experts say that tough rhetoric between the two countries could affect the security situation in the region, while the international community is supporting a reduction in tensions and a diplomatic solution.
