Peace is our goal, discussion on Kashmir and water is important: PM Shahbaz Sharif

Islamabad — Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing a trilateral meeting, said that Pakistan wants peace in the region and always believes in resolving issues through dialogue. He said that urgent attention and negotiations on important issues like Kashmir and water have become inevitable.

The Prime Minister said that the Pakistani nation is extremely grateful to Turkey and Azerbaijan for the way they supported Pakistan in the recent tension. The three countries are united for peace, justice and high values.

He said that India adopted the path of aggression under the guise of the Pahalgam incident, but we did not leave the path of peace and offered an impartial investigation, which India rejected. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has been the biggest victim of terrorism and we are determined against all kinds of terrorism.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the Pakistani armed forces responded to the enemy’s aggression in a professional manner, and Field Marshal Asim Munir played a leading role. He said that Pakistan wants peace but cannot allow anyone to oppress or occupy its land.
