US attack was not on Iran but on the global system: Iranian Foreign Minister’s domineering stance

Istanbul: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has sharply criticized the United States and said that the US president has deceived not only Iran but also his own people. Speaking to the media in Istanbul, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi bluntly put Tehran’s position before the international community by calling the US attack a “murder of diplomacy.” He said that the US violated international laws by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities based on false allegations and made a mockery of the principles of the UN.

Abbas Araqchi said that it is surprising that a country like the US closed the doors of peace itself by attacking at the time of negotiations. According to him, Tehran will take every possible step to protect its sovereignty, security, and people, and the world’s silence at this time may prove to be even more dangerous. Iran’s position is clear that the United States has crossed a red line and the United Nations Security Council must act immediately. Araghchi said that he is going to Moscow today to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin so that high-level diplomatic consultations can be held at this critical juncture.

He revealed that Iran and China had already prepared a ceasefire resolution, but the American attack has completely changed the situation. He said that now is the time for the international community to make a clear decision: war or peace? Iran is in the field for its rights, and the world must now make its position clear.
