Punjab government decides to fix wheat price, summary sent to Chief Minister

Lahore: The Punjab government has made significant progress in fixing the price of wheat. The summary prepared by the Food Department has suggested a price of Rs 2900 per maund, which has been sent to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

According to sources, after the approval of the Chief Minister, the summary will be sent to the provincial cabinet meeting so that a formal decision can be taken. At the same time, the Punjab government has decided that the wheat in its stock will be brought to the market, which will improve the balance of supply and demand.
