PAC Chairman Junaid Akbar resigns, PTI members leave parliamentary committees

Islamabad: After the decision of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political committee, the series of resignations of party members continues. Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Junaid Akbar has left the post and sent his resignation to Chief Whip Aamir Dogar.

According to sources, MNA Ali Asghar has also submitted his resignation from the National Assembly standing committees to the Speaker, while PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram has also submitted his resignation.

Party sources say that the PTI has collectively decided to separate from the parliamentary committees in order to advance its political strategy.
