Identity cards are no longer available in post offices

NADRA has also announced the closure of all identity card-related services in General Post Offices (GPOs) across the country. The facility was started three years ago for the convenience of citizens, but it failed due to lack of public interest and lack of an awareness campaign. More than 83 counters, including in Karachi, have been closed. The equipment of these centers will now be transferred to the Union Councils. To improve services at the local level.

Public Advisory

A Guide for the People Nadra has directed the public to obtain or renew identity documents in a timely manner so that there is no hindrance in accessing government facilities.
