Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei has warned the United States to lift its naval blockade on Iranian ports, describing it as an act of war and cautioning against further escalation. He said Iran’s military is prepared for confrontation while stressing that prolonged restrictions could impact global stability.

Tehran: The ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States have intensified, as Mohsen Rezaei, a member of the Iranian Supreme National Council and former Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) commander), issued a stern warning to the US and demanded an end to the alleged blockade on Iranian ports.

Speaking on Iranian state TV, Mohsen Rezaei said that the blockade of Iran’s ports is unacceptable and that he considers it an “act of war”. According to him, Iran has the full right to defend its maritime borders and ports, and there will be no compromise on this issue.

Mohsen Rezaei directly warned the US that if the naval blockade continues, the situation in Iran and the region could take a very dangerous turn. He said in a stern tone, “We advise the US military to lift the blockade before the Gulf of Oman becomes their graveyard.”

The Iranian leader added that the US actions are not only aggression against Iran but also pose a serious threat to global trade and energy supplies. According to him, if tensions increase, its effects will not be limited to the region alone but will also affect the global economy.

He clarified that Iran has the right to take all possible measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said that the US policy of pressure and sanctions is creating unrest in the region instead of peace.

This statement has come at a time when there is global concern due to the already ongoing tension in the Middle East. The recent diplomatic talks between Iran and the US are also stalled, while various regional powers are continuing diplomatic efforts to keep the situation under control.

According to analysts, strong statements by influential military and political leaders like Mohsen Rezaei could further escalate the tension. Experts say that if tensions increase in the sea routes, it will not only affect energy supplies but may also create uncertainty in global markets.

Pakistan, Qatar and other regional countries are currently engaged in mediation and diplomatic efforts to bring the parties back to the negotiating table. However, the current situation shows that the peace process in the region is still at a very critical stage and new developments may emerge at any time.
