According to Arab media sources, progress has been made in the issue of Iran’s frozen funds; however, differences regarding the volume of funds and their release time still persist, due to which the matter has not been fully resolved.

According to reports, this progress regarding Iran’s financial assets is taking place at a time when tensions and diplomatic contacts between the US and Iran in the region have once again become the centre of attention. According to experts, the issue of frozen funds is considered an important factor in building trust between the two countries.

In this context, US President Donald Trump has given a message to the mediators that the negotiation process cannot last more than 60 days, and now it is up to Iran to respond quickly. This stance shows the pressure of time constraints on the negotiation process.

On the other hand, Pakistan has also intensified diplomatic activities in the region. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will leave for Tehran today, where he will hold important meetings with the Iranian leadership.

Before leaving for Tehran, Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the ongoing negotiation situation between Iran and the United States was discussed in detail. The prime minister also issued special instructions to the interior minister regarding this diplomatic mission.

According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi is also carrying a special message from Pakistan’s top military leadership to the Iranian Supreme Leader, which is being described as an important step towards diplomatic contacts and reducing tensions in the region.

According to diplomatic experts, such high-level contacts indicate that regional powers are trying to play an active role in reducing the growing tension between Iran and the United States.

The situation is currently uncertain; however, frozen funds, negotiation deadlines and regional diplomatic visits indicate that significant progress is possible in the coming days.
