TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that a renewed war would benefit no one, while stressing the need to address the country’s energy challenges and ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply.
In a statement, Pezeshkian said his government was giving special attention to electricity generation and taking all possible measures to overcome the energy crisis.
He said energy facilities were being given priority to maintain electricity supplies and support essential operations across the country.
The Iranian president also expressed his willingness to have electricity to his own office disconnected if necessary to ensure that power remained available for other essential needs.
His remarks come as Iran faces energy supply challenges amid continuing regional tensions and uncertainty over the possibility of renewed military confrontation.

He has also indicated that diplomatic efforts remain an option despite the tensions between Tehran and Washington.
