Will not negotiate under pressure, President Pezzekiyan

Tehran – Iranian President Masoud Pezzekiyan has clearly announced that Iran will not negotiate under any pressure, threats or siege.

According to foreign news agencies, President Pezzekiyan said this during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in which the current situation in the region and the ceasefire were discussed.

The Iranian president praised Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region and said that Islamabad’s role is positive and important.

He criticized the US and said that Washington’s attitude has been pressurizing and frivolous even during the negotiations and ceasefire. According to him, measures such as maritime sanctions are a violation of the ceasefire and are against the UN Charter.

Pazashkian said such actions have raised questions about the US’s intentions and are affecting the diplomatic process.

He warned that if tensions increase, it could have repercussions not only for the region but also for the entire world.

Experts say that Iran’s tough stance shows that the negotiation process may become more difficult in the current circumstances.
