Masqat – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has headed to Oman after Pakistan in connection with his visit to important countries in the region, where he will hold important consultations on the regional situation.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, this visit is being made in the context of the ongoing tensions and war situations in the region, in which the main goal is to increase contacts with different countries.
During his stay in Islamabad, Abbas Araqchi met with the Pakistani leadership and discussed possible solutions for peace. He said that Iran wants to maintain close contact with its neighboring countries.
Although Pakistan tried to mediate between the United States and Iran, no major breakthrough could be achieved.
According to reports, Iran made it clear that it would participate in any negotiations on its own terms and there were no direct talks with American officials. The meetings in Muscat are being considered important because Oman has been a conduit for communication between Iran and the United States in the past.
Abbas Araqchi will also travel to Russia after his visit, where he will hold further consultations.
According to analysts, these diplomatic activities show that Iran is trying to strengthen its position in the region and gain support for a possible peace deal.
