Renowned comedian Lucky Dear passes away, showbiz circles mourn

Lahore: Renowned comedian of theater, TV and film Lucky Dear passed away at Mayo Hospital in Lahore due to a serious illness. He was 60 years old.

According to the family, Lucky Dear had been suffering from lung and diabetes for the past eight months, while his kidneys, liver and stomach had also stopped working. In the last days, his condition had become critical and he went into a coma.

The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered after Asr prayers in Baghbanpura, which was attended by a large number of people from the area, relatives and famous personalities from showbiz.

Lucky Dear was associated with the showbiz industry for four decades. He entertained the audience with his unique acting and memorable dialogues in hundreds of dramas and dozens of films. He is one of the artists who gave rise to Pakistani theatre and made it his art to bring smiles to the faces of the public with his comedy.

His death is being expressed in showbiz circles with deep sorrow and regret. Fellow artists say that Lucky Dear had a unique identity not only in the theatre but also in the film world due to his comical performances and quick sentences. His void will not be filled for years.
