Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the people of Punjab are blessed with their own roof and house, this project is very close to my heart.
Addressing the ceremony of ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ project in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that interest-free loans were provided to 64,000 people within seven months, out of which 45,000 houses are under construction while the construction of 9,000 houses has been completed.
The Chief Minister said that God willing, the construction of five hundred thousand houses will be completed in five years, this project is for those who did not have the resources.
He said that this scheme will become a symbol of development not only of Punjab but also of Pakistan, “We had promised, today we have fulfilled it.”
He added that “We did not beat the drum, we have shown it by doing the work.”
Maryam Nawaz also announced the “Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar” project at the event, under which 2,000 plots will be given in the first phase.
