Islamabad: The seriousness of the situation has become clear as new details about the disruption of mobile phone service and internet in Pakistan have emerged. According to the official document, 9000 mobile sites across the country are currently facing severe network availability issues, causing continuous difficulties for users.

According to the report, prolonged power outages, a complex right-of-way system, and incidents of theft and sabotage in some areas have affected the network system. Due to these factors, the quality of mobile service in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan has fallen to a very low level.

The document has made it clear that despite the efforts of all operators, the network availability has still not reached the level of the license standard. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received more than 8,000 complaints from consumers in the first half of this year, out of which almost all the complaints were disposed of at a rate of 99.17%.

The document has also revealed that 11 cases of fines imposed on operators by the PTA are pending in the courts, due to which several decisions are pending.
