Karachi – The US dollar to Pakistani rupee (USD to PKR) is moving steadily in both interbank and open market sessions on 09 May 2026, reflecting ongoing pressure on Pakistan’s import-based economy.
In the interbank market, USD is trading at Rs. 278.60 (buying) and Rs. 279.10 (selling). In the open market, the dollar is being exchanged at Rs. 279.00 (buying) and Rs. 279.75 (selling).
The currency movement is continuing to influence import costs, fuel pricing expectations, and external payment flows in Pakistan’s economy. Businesses linked with international trade are closely aligned with these rates, as transaction settlements are being processed at higher rupee value pressures.
