US Dollar to PKR is witnessing steady movement in Pakistan’s currency market on 1 May 2026, as the rupee is showing slight stability against the greenback.
In the open market, the US Dollar is being bought at Rs. 279 and sold at Rs. 279.80, while in the interbank market, the Dollar is being traded at Rs. 278.70 (buying) and Rs. 279.20 (selling).
The ongoing trend is reflecting Pakistan’s external account pressures, as the US Dollar remains central to imports, debt repayments, and international trade settlements.
A stable Dollar rate is helping control inflation in imported goods such as fuel and machinery, while any upward movement is directly impacting the cost of living. The current pattern is indicating cautious stability, which is supporting trade planning and financial predictability in the country.
