Karachi – The currency market in Pakistan is showing the US dollar is being traded at Rs. 279.05 buying and Rs. 279.70 selling in the open market, while in the interbank market it is being recorded at Rs. 278.50 buying and Rs. 279.00 selling.
The Pakistani rupee is continuing to adjust against the US dollar as import payments, external trade settlements, and remittance flows are shaping demand in the foreign exchange market. The USD movement is affecting overall import costs and trade balance pressure, especially for energy and industrial goods.
