GBP to PKR – 06 May 2026

The British pound sterling continued to trade at a strong level against the Pakistani rupee on Wednesday, maintaining its premium position among major currencies.

In the open market, the pound is being traded at Rs. 376.58 (buying) and Rs. 382.98 (selling). In the interbank market, it stands at Rs. 376.90 (buying) and Rs. 377.57 (selling).

The strength of the Pound has implications for Pakistan’s trade and education sectors, particularly for individuals dealing with the UK market. A higher pound rate increases the cost of imports and overseas expenses while boosting remittance value in rupee terms.

Overall, the movement of the pound reflects broader global economic trends, which continue to shape Pakistan’s external financial position.
