Karachi – The interbank and open market rates of the US dollar in Pakistan have been released for Wednesday. The latest data shows the dollar price continued to be slightly different in both markets, and the foreign exchange market is trading normally.
The interbank market saw the interbank purchase of the US dollar at Rs 277.75 and sale at Rs 278.25. However, the buying and selling of the dollar in the open market were logged at Rs 278.75 and 278.95, respectively.
The experts said the magnitude of difference between interbank and open market rates is attributed to the financial trend in the world, demand and supply in the local market and banking transactions. The daily movement of currencies is a normal process as long as there are small variations.
The latest dollar rate plays a significant role for importers/exporters, overseas Pakistanis and those who deal in foreign currencies, as a number of financial transactions and business decisions are based on it.
