Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met President Asif Ali Zardari at Governor House, Lahore, where they had a detailed discussion on the political and security situation of the country. President Zardari stressed that priority should be given to providing relief to the common man and welfare measures in the upcoming budget. The meeting also discussed better coordination between political allies so that the country’s interest can be jointly advanced.
The Prime Minister’s recent visits to friendly countries were also discussed. Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Governor of Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, and Senator Saleem Mandviwala were also present at the meeting.
