LAHORE: Due to the ongoing intense heat wave in Punjab province, the summer vacations of schools have been extended. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has clarified in a statement that all schools across the province will now open from September 1, 2025.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said that the education department has taken this decision keeping in mind the weather conditions and the opinions of parents so that the health of the students is not affected.
It should be remembered that earlier the school holidays were till August 14, however, the increase in the intensity of the heat and the fears of a heat wave forced the authorities to reconsider.
