Poor performance is not tolerated, effective strategy is needed on Swat tragedy: Prime Minister

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the federal cabinet meeting, has said that if the performance of any ministry is affected, immediate disciplinary action will be taken. He made it clear that there is no room for negligence in the current situation.

He said that many precious lives were lost due to the recent rains, especially in Swat, a heartbreaking incident occurred which cannot be ignored. The Prime Minister said that it is necessary to learn lessons from this tragedy and ensure full preparation and effective measures for the future.

PM Shehbaz Sharif, while praising the performance of the NDMA, said that the organization showed excellent performance in the current situation, while the Federal Interior Minister and the governments of all the provinces also cooperated.

He announced that as soon as the rains end, a meeting will be held with the four provinces so that such situations can be dealt with better in the future.

Regarding the stock market, he said that reaching the highest level of the index is a reflection of the improvement in the country’s economy and investor confidence. The government is committed to continuing the journey of development.
