PM Shahbaz Sharif expresses solidarity with Iran and condoles the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a condolence message on the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In his statement on the social networking website X, he said that the government and people of Pakistan equally share the grief of the Iranian people.

The Prime Minister said that the death of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is a great tragedy, and Pakistan expresses its complete solidarity with Iran on this occasion. He also expressed concern over the violation of international laws and said that targeting the head of any country is against international norms.

He added that such incidents can harm peace in the region, so the international community must show responsibility. The Prime Minister prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and said that may Allah Almighty grant patience and perseverance to the Iranian nation.
