National Security Committee affirms Iran’s right to self-defense, strongly condemns Israeli aggression

Islamabad The National Security Committee has strongly condemned the recent military actions taken by Israel against Iran, calling them a reason for increasing tension in the region. The committee said that these aggressive actions by Israel are an attempt to sabotage the ongoing constructive talks between Iran and the United States, which not only threaten regional peace but are also affecting global diplomatic efforts.

In the meeting, the committee expressed deep concern about attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, saying that these attacks are a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and IAEA resolutions. The committee clarified that Iran has the full right to defend its sovereignty under the UN Charter.

The committee also expressed heartfelt condolences to the Iranian government and people over the loss of life in Iran and stressed that Pakistan will continue diplomatic contacts and peace-loving measures to maintain peace and stability in the region. The declaration also emphasized full compliance with international human rights and international law.

The National Security Committee urged all relevant countries to find a peaceful solution to the issues through negotiations and diplomacy so that the region can be protected from any possible military conflict.
