Dera Ismail Khan: Maulana Fazlur Rehman outlined that certain tribal issues must be handled by the state according to his opinion during a press conference. At a recent press conference Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized listening to tribal elder perspectives while announcing the formation of another jirga to direct future action.
Tribal leaders of South and North Waziristan attended a jirga held at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s home. Community representatives and tribal leaders from different tribes participated in discussions about crucial issues that mattered to the region at this meeting.
According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman the permanent tribal jirga was established in 2012 and consists of a representation from multiple religions and sects together with professional members. He explained that meeting every tribal elder one by one falls under his responsibilities although time limitations prevented his ability to do so.
The JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared before the tribal citizenry that he supports their community membership. Every tribal matter that surfaces in public life triggers unstoppable action from me. Since the beginning I have fought for their rights as I intend to persist in championing regional peace while creating prosperity across the region.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the state to focus on tribal grievances which deserve resolution through respectful dialogue with appropriate understanding.
