Islamabad: The prize distribution ceremony of the first International Qirat Competition in Islamabad was held in a bright and peaceful atmosphere. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has the honor of bringing together prominent reciters from all over the world under one roof, which is a symbol of the mutual relationship of the Muslim Ummah and its commitment to the Quran.
He said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has given a positive message to the world by organizing this international competition for the first time and next year this event will be organized on a larger scale, in which reciters from non-Islamic countries will also be invited.
Ishaq Dar said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could not attend the event, but on his instructions, he is here to represent Pakistan. He said that reciters from different countries presented an effective and beautiful introduction to their homeland through excellent recitations, while the judges decided the competition with unparalleled skill.
On this occasion, he shed special light on the teachings of the Quran and said that Pakistan is an ideological state that came into existence on the basis of the word, therefore the country’s system, law and governance should also be guided by the principles of the Quran.
According to Ishaq Dar, the Quran commands the protection of humanity, the establishment of justice and the elimination of sedition and corruption. He advised the younger generation to strengthen their relationship with the Quran because this book provides guidance for every aspect of life.
The Deputy Prime Minister further said that those who harmed Pakistan are an example today, while defeating a united nation is beyond the power of any force. Pakistan’s ideological foundation and defense capabilities make it strong and invincible.
