RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s air defense capabilities have successfully destroyed four drones allegedly sent by Afghanistan near the Balochistan border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said, without any loss of life or property.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ISPR claimed that these drones were sent from Afghan territory towards Pakistani airspace. According to the army, the modern defense surveillance system identified them in time, after which the security forces took immediate action and disabled them before they reached the target.
The statement said that the Pakistani armed forces are fully capable of dealing with all types of air and border threats and are always ready to give an effective response to any action against the country’s security.
The ISPR alleged that the Afghan Taliban government is sponsoring terrorist organizations and such actions are harmful to peace and stability in the region. According to the army, such activities not only affect bilateral trust but also increase the problems of the people of Afghanistan.
The statement further said that Pakistan will continue its efforts to eliminate terrorism and ensure border security, while relevant agencies are continuously monitoring the situation.
