Karachi: The gold rate in Pakistan surged by Rs 2,900 per tola, and the international gold rate was increased by $29 per ounce. This, however, is a sharp rise, as the previous day witnessed a Rs. 750 per tola decline, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of gold per tola has increased to Rs. 289,600 after which the rate for 10 grams is up Rs. 2,486 at Rs. 248,285.
The price of gold climbed to $2,772 per ounce in the international market as it followed the same trends as the global market. The substantial hike attests to ongoing fluctuations in local and international markets for gold.
