ISLAMABAD; The federal government has announced a new change in the prices of petroleum products. According to the notification provided, the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs 377.71 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 1.91.
According to the announcement, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 393.66 per litre. The new prices will be effective from October 24 to October 26, 2026.
With the maintenance of petrol prices, consumers of motorcycles, cars and other petrol-powered vehicles will not face an immediate increase in the price per litre. However, the increase in diesel prices may affect the costs of freight vehicles, buses and agricultural machinery.
Diesel is widely used in transport and agricultural activities in Pakistan. Therefore, an increase in its price may put pressure on the cost of delivery of goods and production, although the ultimate impact will also depend on other costs and market conditions.
Changes in the prices of petroleum products are linked to oil prices in the global market and the government’s price determination method. Consumers should refer to the relevant government notification for the latest prices.
