Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed the establishment of help desks in hospitals to assist underprivileged patients. Speaking at an event in Lahore, she highlighted ongoing challenges in government hospitals, including theft of medicines and patients being forced to conduct tests outside the facilities. She also pointed out that private security guards in public hospitals are charging visitors for access, as security has been outsourced.

Maryam Nawaz further announced plans to increase the number of free home deliveries of medicines to one lakh and emphasized that help desks will be set up in public hospitals to guide patients. She stated that her government is focused on ensuring quality healthcare for patients in their local areas, including expanding dialysis facilities and providing insulin to patients at their homes.
