Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz launched the electric bus project while using the government’s priority focus to serve public travel. The Chief Minister emphasised this project as an essential move toward transforming Punjab into a clean, sustainable region.

Maryam Nawaz revealed during the official ceremony that the Chief Minister Green Electro Card would assist students along with senior citizens and people with disabilities to travel without any payment. The operators of electric buses must charge a minimum fare of Rs. 20 as part of the safety measures, which include CCTV camera installations for women’s protection.

The Chief Minister announced that additional electric buses will reach Punjab by August, which will serve over 17,000 passengers every day.

During a performance evaluation session, Maryam Nawaz emphasised her dedication to enlarging the resources available in Punjab. She revealed her intention to start metro bus operations in Faisalabad and Gujranwala throughout the subsequent economic year. The first tram service in Pakistan will start operation soon and will connect Thokar Niaz Baig to Harbanspura in Lahore.

The Punjab government continues working diligently to generate relief programs for citizens by developing forthcoming developmental projects, according to the Chief Minister. She criticised political opponents for using chaotic methods as well as negative politics rather than providing public service combined with development, which she completely rejects.

The new project represents both a forward-thinking system for modern transport and a solution to cut down pollution levels within Punjab.
