Kahna: The Punjab government’s environmental initiatives are showing positive results. According to a spokesperson for the Environmental Protection Force, a significant reduction in air pollution has been recorded in Kahna due to the use of smog guns.
The spokesperson said that the experimentally installed smog guns reduced the air quality index from 666 to 170 in just a few days, which is a major step forward in environmental improvement.
This was the first experiment of regular use of anti-smog guns in Punjab, during which a 70 percent reduction in air pollution was recorded. According to officials, after successful results, it is now being proposed to extend this project to other districts.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised the performance of the Environmental Protection Force and said that Punjab is at the forefront in the use of modern technology and public service. She also congratulated the team on the successful experiment.
