The Omani riyal continued to trade at a strong level against the Pakistani rupee on Wednesday, reflecting its high value in global currency markets.
In the open market, the Omani riyal is available at Rs. 722.47 (buying) and Rs. 733.08 (selling).
The strength of the Omani riyal holds significant importance for Pakistan’s economy, particularly in terms of remittances from overseas workers. Higher exchange rates translate into increased rupee inflows for families receiving funds from abroad.
At the same time, the elevated rate reflects broader currency dynamics where stronger Gulf currencies maintain a premium due to their linkage with global energy markets, impacting Pakistan’s foreign exchange position.
