Karachi – The British Pound continues to trade at a high level against the Pakistani Rupee, reflecting its global strength and demand.
In the interbank market, GBP is recorded at Rs. 376.90 (buying) and Rs. 377.57 (selling). In the open market, the Pound is trading at Rs. 376.58 for buying and Rs. 382.98 for selling.
The strong Pound impacts the cost of imports from the United Kingdom, including education, machinery, and specialized goods.
However, it also benefits Pakistan through higher-value remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis residing in the UK.
Currency stability in the Pound helps maintain trade confidence and supports long-term economic ties between the two countries.
