Islamabad: The federal government has further reduced the prices of petroleum products, making both petrol and diesel cheaper; an official notification to this effect has also been issued.
According to a notification from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 6.59 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel has been lowered by Rs 4.25 per liter.
Following this reduction, the new price for petrol has been set at Rs 346 per liter, while diesel will now be available at Rs 378 per liter.
According to OGRA, the new prices for petroleum products will remain in effect from November 7 until November 9, 2026.
This recent reduction will provide some relief to consumers purchasing petrol and diesel. However, the actual impact of these price cuts will also depend on changes in transport costs, the distribution of essential commodities, and other business-related expenses.
