ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs900 per tola on Tuesday, October 13, taking the price of 24-karat gold to Rs440,836, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs771 to Rs377,945, reflecting an upward movement in the domestic bullion market.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $9 to reach $4,183 per ounce, supporting the rise in local rates, according to market data reported by Business Recorder.
The latest increase followed a decline of Rs2,100 per tola on Monday, when gold settled at Rs439,936. Tuesday’s movement partially reversed the previous session’s losses.
Silver prices, meanwhile, remained unchanged at Rs6,532 per tola in the domestic market.
Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by international bullion rates, currency movements and local market conditions. The daily changes are closely watched by jewellery buyers, investors and traders because they affect purchasing costs and the value of gold holdings.
The quoted bullion rates may differ from the final price paid for jewellery, as jewellers can apply additional making charges and other costs.
