Lahore: The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2.71 per liter for October 14, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 392.66. Diesel has also become cheaper by 3 paise to Rs 396.82 per liter.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, this change in prices is linked to the prices of petroleum products in the global market.
The reduction in petrol price may lead to a slight reduction in the fuel costs of motorcycle and private vehicle users. However, due to the slight difference in the price of diesel, the immediate impact on freight and public transport costs is likely to be limited.
Changes in petrol and diesel prices may affect public travel costs, delivery of goods and business activities. Future prices will depend on oil prices in the global market and relevant government decisions.
