In the Senate Irfan Siddiqui Defends Punjab Water Initiatives as PML-N Senator.

ISLAMABAD: A PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui spoke in support of Punjab’s water reserve by explaining how the province builds canals while staying within its Indus River share.

Senator Siddiqui spoke in the Senate to defend Punjab’s water projects by pointing out they follow the 1991 Water Accord and do not break any rules.

The senator asserted that Punjab can construct waterways with its allotted share of water without any objection. The speaker asks for details about what decision people question and needs confirmation about any existing action.

The senator stated that under the agreement provinces have equal rights to their water allocation and using these water shares follows the granted parameters. He responds to opposition parties whose concerns target Punjab’s water infrastructure development programs.
