Karachi: The current trading week on the Pakistan Stock Exchange was a volatile one for investors, with the benchmark KSE-100 index falling by 4,816 points on a weekly basis.
The index closed at 170,511.85 points in the last session of the week. Thus, the market lost significant value compared to the end of the previous week.
The index moved in a wide range during the trading days. Its highest level was 175,353 points, while it also fell to 166,141 points during the week. Thus, the weekly volatility reached 9,212 points.
The data shows that the market faced pressure during the week. However, the 100 index closed with a gain of 1,646.81 points on the last day, which showed some recovery in the closing session.
According to the latest market report, the total market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange also recorded a decrease of about Rs 613 billion during the week.
