Pakistan Intensifies Diplomatic Efforts to Ease Middle East Crisis

Islamabad: Pakistan has intensified its diplomatic activities to defuse the ongoing tension in the Middle East, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has indicated that the next round of talks between the US and Iran may be held in Islamabad soon.

According to government sources, the situation in the region seems to be relatively softening after the diplomatic contacts held at the global level in recent days. In this context, Pakistan has presented itself as a country that prefers dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disputes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is currently on a visit to China, where various global issues, including the regional situation, are being discussed. Sources say that Pakistan has received encouraging messages from the US and Iran regarding the talks, although no new meeting has been officially announced yet.

Islamabad had previously played an important role in indirect contacts between the US and Iran. During a key diplomatic engagement in April, Pakistan facilitated talks between the US Vice President and the Iranian leadership, which was hailed as a positive development globally.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised US President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts and said that joint efforts would continue to establish peace in the region. He stressed that Pakistan would support any initiative that would lead the region out of war and instability and towards dialogue.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also said in his statement that the current diplomatic progress was promising and could pave the way for lasting peace in the region. He said that Pakistan should maintain close contact with various regional countries and internationalorganisationss throughout its diplomatic activity.

According to experts, this diplomatic strategy of Pakistan is not only important for peace in the region but can also strengthen Islamabad’s political reputation globally. Analysts say that if Pakistan hosts such talks in the future, it will increase its diplomatic influence in South Asia.

Political observers believe that in the current situation, many countries in the world are eager to avoid direct confrontation and adopt a diplomatic path. In such a situation, Pakistan’s mediation and coordination efforts can play an important role in reducing tensions in the region and promoting a negotiating environment.
