Ramadan Supplications (Duas)

1. Sehri Dua (Niyyah)

English: I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.

2. Iftar Dua

English: O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.

3. First Ashra Dua (Days 1–10: Mercy)

English: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the best of those who show mercy.

FAQs: Ramadan & Sehri Masail

Q: Can I keep the fast if I miss the Sehri meal? A: Yes. While eating Sehri is a blessed Sunnah, the fast is valid as long as you make the intention before dawn.

Q: Does using an inhaler break the fast? A: Most scholars agree that since the spray contains particles that reach the lungs and stomach, it breaks the fast. Patients should consult their doctor and religious scholar for specific medical exemptions.

Q: Is it permissible to use eye drops or ear drops? A: According to most modern rulings, eye drops do not break the fast. However, ear drops may invalidate it if the eardrum is perforated.

Q: What if I finish my meal exactly as the Azaan starts? A: You must stop immediately. The “Sehri End” time is the absolute limit; eating during or after the Azaan usually invalidates the fast.
