Islamabad: PML-N leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui, speaking in parliament, strongly criticized the United States. He said that the United States has left a stockpile of weapons in Afghanistan, which are now being used against Pakistan.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that the fight against terrorism is a shared interest of Pakistan and the United States. He said that US President Donald Trump had appreciated Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism. However, he stressed that the arms stockpiles left in Afghanistan pose a serious threat to Pakistan.
Citing the example of national integration at the time of the APS attack, he said, “When the APS issue happened, we were all together. At that time, we should have kept political interests aside. He said the provisions of the National Action Plan could not be implemented, as a result of which Pakistan had to pay a heavy price.
Irfan Siddiqui said that 80,000 citizens of Pakistan have been martyred due to terrorism. He stressed that the need of the hour is national integration and an effective strategy in the fight against terrorism.
He urged the government to ensure immediate implementation of the provisions of the National Action Plan and strengthen international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
