Lahore: The administration of the Two Holy Mosques has announced the formal start of I’tikaf registration, giving good news to pilgrims and local citizens from all over the world. According to a spokesperson for the Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, this year too, I’tikaf applications will be received only through the digital portal in order to maintain transparency and order. All Muslims who wish to take refuge in the house of Allah during the last ten days of this blessed month can now submit their applications by visiting the official website of the institution.

The institution has clarified that those wishing to perform I’tikaf must first create their personal account on the Haramain website. Users who already have an account can log in to the system using their old credentials (login ID and password). It is mandatory to provide correct passport or identity card information while creating an account so that there is no obstacle in the registration process. After the registration is complete, a confirmation message will be issued by the institution, only after which permission for I’tikaf will be granted.
