Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced a new plan to give women more power by giving them free cows and buffaloes to help them make a living and find work. The provincial government has given a record Rs. 2 billion to this program, which will help 11,000 women in 12 districts, such as Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, and Kot Addu.

The Chief Minister also created a special app and service to help farmers. He also created the CM Livestock Card, which lets 80,000 farmers borrow Rs. 27,000 per animal without having to pay interest. Farmers will also be able to buy important things like wontas, mineral mixes, and hay in four-month, interest-free payments from approved sellers.

The program also wants to get 400,000 animals ready to be exported as meat, which will help the province’s economy. An animal identity traceability system will be put in place to help with this, which will lead to better care and control of animals. The program also has an online registration system and a service that farms can call for help.

Maryam Nawaz said that this project is a step toward giving country women respectable jobs and giving them more economic power while also making the livestock industry in Punjab stronger.
