PSX had a great week, market cap increased by Rs 618 billion, 100 index above 168 thousand points

Karachi: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a strong bullish trend this week, when 100 index closed at 168,990 points after increasing by 6,733 points.

The market witnessed significant volatility during the week, 100 index remained in the band of 7,929 points. The highest level was recorded at 169,988 points and the lowest level was recorded at 162,058 points, reflecting the increasing confidence of investors and the improvement in the economy.

Business activities also remained strong, with 7.42 billion shares traded during the week, with a total value of Rs 364 billion. Along with this, the market capitalization increased by Rs 618 billion, which reached Rs 19,660 billion.

According to market analysts, increasing investor confidence, interest in foreign investment, and satisfaction with the government’s economic policies maintained the bullish trend in the market. They say that if the government maintains financial discipline and market stability, the positive trend can continue in the future.
