KARACHI: Reports of a possible easing of tensions between Iran and the US boosted investor confidence on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), which led to a significant rally in the market on Wednesday and the benchmark KSE-100 index again rose above the 180,000-point mark.

Investors actively bought in various sectors during the trading session, which gave a positive overall trend to the market. According to analysts, expectations of a reduction in geopolitical risks globally played a significant role in improving the investment trend in emerging markets, which also benefited the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
