Tolerance is not weakness but strength, PM’s message on International Tolerance Day

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in his message on the occasion of International Tolerance Day 2025, has said that tolerance and forbearance are not the weakness of any individual or nation, but are a clear sign of awareness, patience, balance and high human character. He stressed that tolerance is the basic pillar for peace, respect and coexistence around the world.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is a country where different languages, cultures and traditions come together to create a beautiful social diversity, and this diversity is the real strength of the country. He said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights and complete religious freedom to every citizen.

In his message, he clarified that the government is taking practical steps to promote interfaith harmony and the approval of the Minorities Rights Bill 2025 is a milestone in this direction. The Prime Minister said that this bill will not only ensure the protection of the rights of minorities but will also further strengthen the atmosphere of tolerance and respect in the society.

The Prime Minister said that the International Day of Tolerance reminds us that promoting tolerance at the political, social and religious levels is both the need of the hour and a national responsibility. He urged the nation to respect each other despite differences so that Pakistan can be made a peaceful, harmonious and strong state.
