The first priority of the government is to increase industrial development and exports. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that industrial development is one of the top priorities of the government. This is due to its potential to generate employment opportunities and bolster the country’s economy. He clarified it that the government is making it easier for business and investment through reforms. This will provide maximum facilities to the private sector.
A meeting of the Economic Advisory Council was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, in which several proposals were presented regarding increasing exports. The participants in the meeting expressed satisfaction over the government’s steps and said that they would improve the country’s economy.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the reduction in electricity prices will significantly reduce the production cost of industries, which will increase production and exports and make Pakistani products globally competitive. He said that the credit for making electricity affordable goes to the economic team of the government, which made it possible through successful negotiations with the IMF.
The Prime Minister said comprehensive consultations and reforms are underway to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and the results will be visible soon. He added that a high-level delegation will be sent to further develop trade relations with the US, which will include leading business figures and exporters of Pakistan. The delegation aims to enhance the accessibility of Pakistani products to international markets.
