Pakistan’s Economic Situation on Correct Track: Deputy PM Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Emphasizing government actions that have provided stability, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan’s economy is moving in a favorable manner. Speaking at Islamabad’s Pakistan Business Council event, he underlined the development under the present government.

Dar remembered the difficulties of 2013, especially protracted power outages, and congratulated the PML-N administration for eradicating load-shedding and terrorism during its last run. “Pakistan rose to be the 24th biggest economy in the world under our direction. Having taken power, we stopped the nation from defaulting in 2022,” he remarked.

He underlined the growth of important industries like agriculture, mining, and IT and highlighted Pakistan’s great mineral abundance. “Sustainable development requires cooperation between the government and the private sector,” Dar said, stressing once again the will to reach objectives of sustainable development.

Dar also pointed out Pakistan’s better worldwide reputation, stressing events like one on girls’ education and the SCO summit as well as other conferences.

Dar said that a one-window operation has been instituted to draw in investment. “We have raised the development budget since the ‘Udaan Pakistan’ initiative is our road map for growth,” he said.

He underlined the importance of greatly increasing exports to guarantee Pakistan’s long-term development and stability and also highlighted that government initiatives had helped to lower the current account deficit.
